Heritage of Hampi

Day 1ARRIVAL IN BANGALORE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Meet with the driver & depart for Hampi. Bangalore to Hampi will take approximately 06 hrs drive. Its 342 Kms. Enroute stop for Lunch. Arrive Hubli & proceed to check in at the hotel. Evening depart for sunset visit to Matanga Hill to catch a glimpse sun setting and the stunning 360-degree view of the magical landscape below. The Matanga Hill is the highest point in the area and offers breath-taking views of the ruins. The north part of the hill slopes down to the Tungabhadra River, just where the Kodanda Rama Temple is located. On its eastern edge stands the Achyutaraya Temple, constructed in 1534. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

 

Day 2HAMPI SIGHTSEEING

After breakfast, leave to explore the giant statues of Ganesha and the Hazararama Temple with its intricate carvings along with the other historical attractions. Places to be covered will be Mahanavami Dibba, Stepped Well, Lotus Mahal, Secret Chambers, The Vijaya Vittala Temple along with its stone chariot, Giant Statue of Ganesha and Hazara Rama Temple

 

Day 3BADAMI VIA AIHOLE AND PATTADAKAL

Breakfast at the hotel. Check out & make your way to the earliest temples in South India at Aihole and the UNESCO World Heritage site of Pattadakal. Drive to Aihole is approximately 3 hours. 138.7Km. Aihole and Pattadakal are located just 21 minutes from each other. Places of interest which we are covering The Durga Temple, The Lad Khan Temple, Ravanapadhi Cave Temple, Jyothirlinga, Meguti Jain Temple, Galaganatha Temple Complex and Huchappayyagudi Temple.

Recommended stop for lunch is KSTDC Mayura Yatri Nivas at Aihole Post lunch drive to Pattadakal which is located 21 minutes from Aihole.

Pattadakal, in Karnataka, represents the high point of an eclectic art which, in the 7th and 8th centuries under the Chalukya dynasty, achieved a harmonious blend of architectural forms from northern and southern India. An impressive series of nine Hindu temples, as well as a Jain sanctuary, can be seen there. A visit to the Pattadakal temple complex will cover all the historical temples to visit. Places of interest which we are covering Virupaksha Temple, Mallikarjuna Temple, Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Papanatha Temple, Sangameshwara Temple, Galaganatha Temple, Jambulinga Temple, Kadasiddeshwar Temple and Museum of the Plains and Sculpture Gallery.

 

Day 4DEPARTURE

Breakfast at hotel. Proceed for check out and drive back to Bangalore International Airport to connect flight home.
